The Africa Minigrids Program (AMP) is a collaborative initiative designed to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy minigrids across Africa. The program aims to improve energy access in underserved areas by leveraging clean energy technologies, supporting local economies, and fostering sustainable development.
It is led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF); in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
AcreLog, a subsidiary of ours, was selected as the minigrid developer for Lagos and Cross River states in Nigeria.
